Farewell to the Joe

A personal project dedicated to the closing of Joe Louis Arena, where the Detroit Red Wings played from 1979 to 2017. As a die hard hockey fan, I took the opportunity to show my appreciation for The Joe with various illustrations, typography, and motion graphics. Each of the images I created has a significant meaning, from the 20 Hall of famers that played in the arena, the retired numbers that hung in the rafters, & the playoff streak that lasted 25 years.
